Providing Everything Your Body Needs

Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a treatment that utilizes accupuncture needles to treat pain in the body.  It works through various mechanisms systemically and locally.  It helps locally by improving blood flow and tissue quality encouraging your bodies natural healing response.  More importantly, it affects your nervous system through it's complex reflex system and neurophysiology tapping specifically into your pain triggers.

Manual Therapy

I am experienced in many different methods of manual therapy which are techniques often thought to address issues at the body's many joints.  Specifically I am trained in maitland mobilization, strain/counterstrain, muscle energy technique, and thrust mobilizations which many people think of as popping joints.  The key with any technique is to manipulate the body in a way that gives the input your body needs to respond and change for the desired outcome.

Myofascial Treatments

This refers to treatments designed to address your soft tissues directly one of which includes dry needling.  However, there are a host of others I employ including pressure release, manual stretching, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Perhaps more importantly, I will teach you about your myofascial system and it's interface with your neuromuscular system as I empower you to treat yourself at home.

Integrative Exercise

This is perhaps the most important tool to utilize in changing your body.  It is often misunderstood by therapists and patients alike.  You have to persist with these activities to give your body the inputs and time it needs to respond as well as evolve these activities as your body changes.  In order to restore normal movement in the body we must establish proper muscle length, joint position, muscle co-contraction, neuromuscular control, and strength.  It is essential to integrate many qualities together to find your performance
